Flood Advisory until 12:15PM

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Callahan, Nolan and Taylor.

* WHEN...Until 1215 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1012 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated pockets of heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving north across Taylor County. This will cause urban and small stream flooding, including some low lying city streets and other poor drainage areas. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area from Abilene west along Interstate 20. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Abilene, Wylie, Merkel, Tye, Buffalo Gap, Trent, Caps, Dyess Afb, View, and Potosi. - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 260 and 297. This includes the following Low Water Crossings... Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard, Butternut Underpass, Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw Drive, Intersections along Sammons Street, Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway, I-20 Frontage Roads west of Clyde, South 20th Street and Brentwood, FM 3308 crossing Draw, South 27th Street at Catclaw Creek and Antilley Rd. crossing Button Willow Creek.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CALLAHAN, TX ... NOLAN, TX ... TAYLOR, TX
