INCIDENT: FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION

VICTIM: Male Adult Hispanic (Identification pending notification to family)
On Sunday, April 21, 2024, at approximately 1:36 AM, Pomona Police Officers responded to the area of Towne Ave. and Ninth St. regarding a vehicle vs. pedestrian hit and run traffic collision. Responding officers arrived on scene and located the pedestrian laying within the northbounds lanes of Towne Ave. First responders assessed the pedestrian and attempted life saving measures. Unfortunately, the pedestrian suffered major injuries and passed away. The involved vehicle fled the scene of the collision and was not located by responding officers.
