Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help locating Marie Campbell, 51, who is wanted for questioning in connection with the investigation of a robbery that occurred on Monday, April 1, 2024.
At approximately 1 p.m., a male victim met up with a woman in the 100 block of Avon Avenue after she phoned him, offering to sell him a car. The woman told the victim they had to walk to the 100 block of Jelliff Avenue to see the car. Once there, they met another male who advised them that the vehicle would arrive shortly. Becoming concerned about the potential transaction, the victim walked away. He was then approached by two males who robbed him at gunpoint.
Detectives investigating this incident are seeking Marie Campbell, also known as Baby Cakes, for questioning in this incident. She is described as 5’4” tall and weighs 170 pounds.
