A Passover Message from Mayor Tom Giordano
My Dear Jewish Neighbors & Friends:
Passover is the celebration of redemption from slavery and freedom from oppression, a struggle that required faith, courage, and determination.
Passover is the feast of freedom, which provides a splendid opportunity to remember from whence we came, what lies ahead, and before whom we must give an account.
Starting on the evening of April 22nd and ending on the evening of April 30th, families will gather with their loved ones to celebrate Passover. It is a time to reflect on history, traditions and the special people who bless our lives.
They will read from the Haggadah and retell the story of liberation. Learning from the past is a powerful way to plan for a brighter tomorrow.
In the spirit of Passover, we should resolve to fulfill our commitments to ourselves, our communities, and to ensure that we are championing the needs of the most vulnerable among us.
May those who attend a Seder be blessed with everything that life has to offer and may your cup overflow with prosperity.
May you have a wonderful, happy, and safe Passover, may you be blessed with happiness, peace, and good health. May your heart be full of joy and may your home be filled with love.
Mayor Tom Giordano
