By hosting this event, our aim is to provide those interested in an exciting career in dispatching with information necessary to learn about the job itself, the application process and our department - the San Mateo Way, as well as provide you with a behind the scenes look at what it's like to dispatch specifically for our department. We hope by providing insight and familiarity with SMPD and the process, those interested will feel more comfortable taking on such a noble career choice with ease.
