Every day, SEVEN people die from home fires. To help save lives, the AMERICAN Red Cross, THE TOWNSHIP OF MOUNT HOLLY AND MOUNT HOLLY VOLUNTEER FIRE DISTRICT have partnered to SOUND THE ALARM.
On SATURDAY, MAY 4th, we'll be in Mount Holly neighborhoods between 10:00am and 2:00pm to install FREE smoke alarms to help prevent these needless tragedies as part of the Nationwide Sound the Alarm Initiative.
Volunteers with the Red Cross and Mount Holly Volunteer Fire District will be going door-to-door visiting households, offering free smoke alarm installations in homes that need them.
Volunteers will also be distributing fire safety information and talking to you about what you can do now to be prepared should a fire break out in your home. Red Cross Volunteers will be identifiable by their uniforms and badges. Please feel free to request to see identification.
