Positive identification has been made on the body recovered from the East River on April 20, 2024. The Green Bay Police Department (GBPD) with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) can release this person is Ivonne Benitez, 22, Bellevue.
This update follows preliminary results from the autopsy performed by the Brown County Office of the Medical Examiner on April 22, 2204, which do not indicate foul play.
Benitez was reported missing to the Brown County Sheriff's Office on April 15, 2024. Her body was found by a search party on Saturday. Upon discovering the body, they immediately called 911.
