DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to a shoplifting at the GAP store located in the MarketFair mall. The suspects left the store in a black Acura station wagon prior to police arrival, but was spotted by Ptl. B. Caulfield going south on U.S. Route 1 in the area of Nassau Park Blvd. Ptl. Caufield intercepted the Acura and stopped it as it pulled into the Motel 6 in Lawrence Twp. Clemson Gist was identified as the shoplifter who had stolen clothing out of the store by just walking out with the items. Gist was also a “Wanted” fugitive out of Ewing and had a warrant for his arrest from Lawrence Twp. In addition, he was in possession of suspected crack cocaine. A passenger in the vehicle, Erika Rolon, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, determined to be a “Wanted” fugitive out of both Ocean and Monmouth County, and had warrants for her arrest from Lawrence Twp. and Edison. While being processed, Gist was allowed to use the bathroom. While doing so, he tried to dispose of more drugs he had concealed on him by throwing them in the toilet. After processing, Gist was turned over to Ewing police while Rolon was turned over to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Connell was detailed to a crash on Route 1 and Alexander Rd. Investigation found that a Toyota sedan driven by Alexis Morillo Gutierrez had changed lanes unsafely and struck the passenger side of a BMW SUV that was traveling in the center lane. Morillo Gutierrez claimed that he had fallen asleep while driving. Ptl. Connell determined that he was DWI and arrested him. Morillo Gutierrez was also found to be in possession of a fake Social Security card and a fake Permanent Resident card. He was processed at WWPD and released pending future court dates.

DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to Target for two shoplifters being detained by store Asset Protection personnel. Investigation determined that Reedel Wilson was in the store with her daughter, Bianca Wilson.  As they walked around the store, they both placed items into a shopping cart. Reedel Wilson also concealed merchandise under her clothing. They both exited the store with the shopping cart full of merchandise without paying. In total, Reedel Wilson was responsible for stealing $386.15 worth of goods. She also lied to officers about her identity. After her true identity was determined, she was found to have two warrants for her arrest from Florence Twp. Reedel Wilson was processed at WWPD and released pending future court dates.

 DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to Target for two shoplifters being detained by store Asset Protection personnel. Investigation determined that Bianca Wilson was in the store with her mother, Reedel Wilson. As they walked around the store, they both placed items into a shopping cart. Bianca Wilson also concealed merchandise in her clothing. They both exited the store with the shopping cart full of merchandise without paying. In total, Bianca Wilson was responsible for stealing $438.30 worth of goods. She also lied to officers about her identity. After her true identity was determined, she was found to be a ”Wanted” fugitive from both Mercer County and Bucks County, PA. Bianca Wilson was processed at WWPD and transported to the Mercer County Correction Center.

Accused: Jameson Laurent

DETAILS:  While Ptl. Siani was on patrol, he observed a gray Chevrolet SUV speeding on Village Rd. West. He caught up to the SUV and activated his emergency lights, but the vehicle kept going. He then activated his siren, and despite vehicles in front of the SUV pulling over to the side, it kept going and drove around them. Further down the road, the gray SUV finally came to a stop, but in such a way that it blocked traffic. Ptl. Siani briefly spoke to the driver, later identified as Jameson Laurent, to tell him to reposition his vehicle so that traffic could pass. Laurent then drove off. Ptl. Siani activated his siren again to signal to Laurent to stop, but again, he just kept going. Approximately two miles down the road, it was clear that Laurent had no intention of stopping so Ptl. Siani deactivated his emergency lights and let him go. Laurent was issued multiple traffic tickets in addition to the criminal charge.

DETAILS:  Ptl. S. Van Ness was detailed to Pep Boys for a theft. Investigation found that the victim was on a ladder working on the front sign of the building. His tools were at the bottom of the ladder, while he was near the top. While he was working, three males drove up in a gold-colored Honda sedan and got out. One of the males told the victim that the tools on the ground were now his and picked them up. As the victim started coming down from his ladder, he was threatened to not come down which put him in fear for his safety. The suspects then got into their car with his tools and fled the area. The stolen tools were valued at $660.00.

Arrested: Rasheena D. Jefferson
                Resident of Bridgeton, NJ
 
DETAILS: Patrol Units were detailed to Dick’s Sporting Goods (DSG) for a shoplifting. Prior to police arrival, it was reported that the shoplifters had fled in a silver Mercedes-Benz wagon. Sgt. Brodowski spotted the vehicle exiting onto U.S. Route 1 and stopped it. The driver, Rasheena Jefferson, was identified as the shoplifter who had stolen $547.32 worth of clothing and a Stanley Cup thermos from DSG. She did this by concealing the items into a large plastic bag that she had placed in a baby stroller. In addition, Jefferson was in possession of $630.00 in stolen clothing from Carter’s in Lawrenceville. Jefferson also had a warrant for her arrest from Trenton. Jefferson was processed at WWPD and released pending future dates in court.

DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to a burglary to a residence. Investigation found that while the residents were not home, unknown actor(s) smashed the glass on a rear door to gain entry. While inside, the master bedroom was ransacked, and drawers were opened in other areas of the house. Cash, jewelry, and other valuables were stolen from the home. Det. C. Abade processed the scene for evidence and is investigating.

DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to Wegmans for shoplifters being detained by store Asset Protection. Investigation found that the quartet of shoplifters entered the store together, but separated into two groups. The two groups each had their own shopping cart which they filled with food and merchandise. After shopping, they pushed their carts full of goods outside of the store without paying. Initially, all four shoplifters provided fake names to officers. The quartet was processed at WWPD and released pending future court dates.

                Resident of Hamilton, NJ
 
DETAILS:  Patrol Units responded to a crash on U.S. Route 1 involving an overturned vehicle. Investigation found that a black Honda Civic driven by Hubert Santizo was traveling at a high rate of speed in the center lane. Santizo caught up to and struck the rear of a slower moving car that was in front of him, in the same lane, which caused his vehicle to flip over onto its roof. The other vehicle was pushed off of the roadway and hit a sign on the side of the road. Santizo was found to be DWI and transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

DETAILS: Patrol Units were detailed to Target for a male walking around the store exposing himself. Ptl. Borup located David Moore in the skincare aisle of the store and detained him. Investigation determined that while walking through the store for over 10 minutes, Moore would follow women closely from behind, and on at least three occasions, exposed himself and masturbated. Moore was processed at WWPD and released pending a future court date.

DETAILS: Patrol Units were detailed to the parking lot of Staples for a suspicious green colored BMW with no license plates parked in a handicapped space. Upon arrival on scene, Ptl. J. Schulte met with the passenger in the car, later identified as Sangria Moss, who provided her with a false name and date of birth. Moss related that her husband was inside Staples buying screws to put license plates on the car. When Ptl. Buchanan entered Staples, a customer told him that there was a man inside printing out (forging) license plates. When he approached the male, identified as Codi Nicholas, he was in the process of laminating the printed license plates. Investigation determined that the vehicle was sold privately in January and never registered to a new owner. Nicholas was found to have warrants for his arrest from South Brunswick and Carteret. Moss, who provided a false identity to officers, was found to be a “Wanted” person out of Maryland, however, extradition limits only allowed for arrests to be made in states surrounding Maryland. Both Nicholas and Moss were processed at WWPD and released pending future dates in Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Borup was detailed to Best Buy for an employee who was being detained for shoplifting. Investigation found that while he was at work, Ramir Oliver, would take merchandise during his shift, conceal them into his backpack, and leave with the items at the end of his workday. This happened on three (3) different dates, and items stolen included Samsung cell phones and Apple products, totaling almost six thousand dollars in value. Oliver was processed at WWPD and released pending future dates in Court.

DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to Nassau Park Blvd. for a heavily damaged car parked at the bus stop. They arrived to find a crash damaged gray Acura occupied by Gustavo Monroy. A witness told investigating officers that he saw the gray Acura swerving all over the road, crash into a guardrail, and also a concrete barrier before driving to the bus stop. Monroy was determined to be DWI and arrested. He was processed at WWPD and released pending a future court date.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Chowanec responded to a crash in the area of U.S. Route 1 and Carnegie Center Blvd. Investigation found that a red Nissan sedan driven by Daniel Carlson, struck the rear of a Ford SUV while both vehicles were in motion. There were minor injuries to some of the vehicle occupants. Carlson was determined to be DWI, transported to the hospital, and charged with DWI.
