Wilmington Police arrest man on gun and drug charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges.
On April 23, at approximately 12:13 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 3400 block of Northeast Boulevard, in reference to a shots fired incident with no injuries. Upon arrival, police observed a male subject fleeing the area on a bicycle. Following a brief pursuit, 35-year-old Darnell Nuriddin was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of a loaded .380 caliber handgun, 9.26 grams of crack cocaine, 1.33 grams of heroin, and $502.
Nuriddin has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Resisting Arrest
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
