LOCATION: 34600 Block of Yucaipa Boulevard, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Alfredo Benavidez, 55 year-old Yucaipa resident
Jetta Raynor, 58 year-old Yucaipa resident
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On April 20, 2024, deputies responded to a Yucaipa Boulevard residence for a welfare check. Deputies discovered an elderly female victim who was immobile and lying in a bed. Alfredo Benavidez and Jetta Raynor both live at the location with the victim. During the previous night, the suspects were upset with the victim and took her phone away. The suspects threatened to harm the victim, hit her and later attempted to set the victim on fire. The victim was transported to a local area hospital as a precaution.
Deputies from the Yucaipa Sheriff's Station served a search warrant at the residence and collected evidence related to the allegations. Alfredo Benavidez and Jetta Raynor were arrested and booked at Central Detention Center in San Bernardino reference the above charges.
