The Mill Valley Police Department, in conjunction with the Mill Valley Public Works Department, will be performing a drill on the morning of Wednesday, May 1st between 4:00AM and 6:00AM as part of our staff’s ongoing emergency evacuation preparedness.

The drill will consist of setting up traffic control patterns at several key points to allow the free flow of traffic in the event of an evacuation. Of primary note, East Blithedale Avenue between Camino Alto and Ashford Avenue will be converted into a contraflow pattern, allowing one lane of west bound traffic on East Blithedale Avenue to flow in the eastern direction. At the same time, inbound East Blithedale Avenue traffic will detour onto Ashford Avenue to Lomita Drive and back to East Blithedale Avenue.
