Suspect in custody after vehicle pursuit. SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN 
A Gold Toyota Avalon bearing Georgia Tag SDK-6742 entered Clayton County on April 20, 2024, and a traffic stop was initiated by Law Enforcement and the vehicle fled.
On April 21, 2024, the same Toyota Avalon entered Clayton County. A traffic stop was initiated again and the vehicle fled.
Earlier today, SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN'S Burglary Auto-theft & Truancy (BAT) Unit was in the area of Riverdale Rd conducting general patrols when the GA Tag SDK-6742 was spotted.
Surprisingly, the tag was no longer on the Toyota Avalon but was on a Black 2014 GMC Denali Terrain.
The BAT Unit called for back up from the BlackHawk Units that were also in the area and both units activated their blue lights to initiate a traffic stop while simultaneously blocking the vehicle in to prevent the driver from fleeing again. However, the vehicle escaped and fled once again.
The Black GMC Terrain was driving in a reckless manner and with disregard for the public. Recklessly driving down Riverdale Rd, it smashed into the back of a Chrysler 300. The GMC lost control and flipped over on Riverdale Rd at Church Street.
Bringing the vehicle to a stop, Alexander M. Dunn attempted to climb out the vehicle and flee but was apprehended by Sheriff’s K9 Tir.
Alexander Dunn is now on his way to 9157 Tara Blvd on the following 24 charges:
Reckless driving
Speeding 30+
Too fast for conductions
Wrong side of the road x2
Fail to stop for a red light
Failed to stop for stop sign x2
Improper passing on the left
Driving in the gore
Obstruction
Cruelty to Children x3
Reckless conduct
Hit and run x2
Possession of Marijuana
Driving while license suspended
No seat belt
Child restraint
Fleeing and eluding
Concealing identity of motor vehicle
Failure to maintain lane
