On April 25, 2024 (Thursday) at approximately 1:53 am, personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a motor vehicle collision on Avenue M near 40th Street East, which is within the incorporated area of the City of Palmdale.
The preliminary facts of this investigation indicate at approximately 1:50 am a 2002 Acura MDX driven by a 33-year-old male was driving westbound on Avenue M. It appears the driver was driving at a high rate of speed and was unable to maintain control of the vehicle. The vehicle drove into a ditch, was launched, and subsequently collided with a chain link fence causing it to roll prior to coming to rest. The 33-year-old male driver of the Acura succumbed to his injuries on scene.
