Event Advisory: Jennings Beach - 4/27, 11AM-4PM

This is a message from the Town of Fairfield and Fairfield Police Department:

Fairfield University will be hosting an event for its students at Jennings Beach on April 27, 2024 from 11AM-4PM. Fairfield University has partnered with the Fairfield Police Department and the Town of Fairfield to establish a significant public safety presence in the area.

In an effort to reduce overcrowding and maintain public safety, streets immediately surrounding Jennings Beach will be posted as temporary tow away zones from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Streets to be listed as “Tow Zones” from 10AM-6PM include:
  1. Carlynn Drive
  2. Myren Street
  3. Beach Road (south of Pilgrim Lane)
  4. Benson Place
  5. Craig Place
  6. Baldwin Terrace
  7. Newell Place
  8. Craig Court
  9. South Benson (South of Judson)

Vehicles parked in these areas on April 27, 2024 will be ticketed beginning at 10AM and may be towed at the owner’s expense. Please park your vehicles in your driveways and plan your day accordingly.

There will be a designated ride share (Uber, Lyft, etc.) drop-off and pick-up location within the Jennings Beach parking lot.

Jennings Beach and Sandcastle Playground remain open to the public during this event. Residents may utilize the Jennings Beach parking lot or the South Benson Marina Parking lot. Traffic delays are possible traveling to/from the area.
