Market St. Corridor Reconstruction & Streetscape Improvements Phase 1 work continues, roadway and sidewalk demolition has begun and will continue for the coming weeks. Throughout the week of April 29th, in the north lane of Market Street, Upstate Companies will be preparing the site for new sidewalk and curb and be installing light pole bases, electrical conduits, and installing underdrain. Pedestrians are encouraged to avoid sidewalks under construction and use available open sidewalks. Bicycle and vehicular traffic are to obey the recently added temporary traffic signals while there are active lane closures. Work limits will be approximately Broad Street to James Georgeson Ave. All businesses will remain open. Pedestrian and vehicular access to the businesses will be maintained at all times, as practicable. The public should continue to utilize the detour routes unless their destination is on Market Street.
