* Flash Flood Warning for... Cherokee County in southeastern Kansas... Southeastern Crawford County in southeastern Kansas... Barton County in southwestern Missouri... Northwestern Jasper County in southwestern Missouri... Vernon County in west central Missouri...

* Until 315 PM CDT Friday.

* At 716 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Pittsburg, Nevada, Lamar, Baxter Springs, Columbus, Carl Junction, Frontenac, Galena, Arma, Liberal, Cherokee, Weir, Sheldon, Mulberry, Scammon, Mindenmines, Arcadia, Walker, Schell City, West Mineral, Treece, Lowell, Chicopee, Nashville, Franklin, Montevallo, Bronaugh, Asbury, Lamar Heights, Moundville, Milo, Waco, Roseland, Irwin, Burgess, Harwood, Yale, Iantha, Hannon and Croweburg. This includes the following low water crossings... Dry Wood Creek at Highway K, East Fork Dry Wood Creek at NW 110th Lane and Clear Creek at Rebel Road.
