DEA NATIONAL RX TAKE BACK INITIATIVE
The Walker Police Department, in conjunction with the DEA, will once again host the National Prescription and Over-The-Counter Drug and Vaping Device Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27th from 10 am – 2 pm at the Walker Police Department, 10136 Florida Blvd in Walker (1 block west of the Walker South/Florida Blvd intersection). Anyone wishing to dispose of unneeded, expired or unused prescription or over-the-counter medications, vaping devices or e-cigarettes (batteries must be removed), may do so safely and anonymously by bringing such items to the Walker Police Department this Saturday (4/27) beginning at 10 am. This initiative helps prevent the accidental or intentional misuse of potentially dangerous medications through disposal in accordance with State and federal law. Inhalers, IV solutions, injectables and syringes will not be accepted. Please share this information with others and make plans to participate. Thank you!
