* At 849 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Southridge Mall, or near Des Moines, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near... Des Moines, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, Carlisle, and Iowa State Fairgrounds around 855 PM CDT. Mitchellville around 910 PM CDT. Colfax around 920 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Mingo, Runnells, and Valeria. This includes the following highways... Interstate 80 between mile markers 139 and 155. Interstate 235 between mile markers 8 and 14.
