A particularly dangerous storm system has been observed in our area. Damaging wind, hail, area flooding, and the possibility of tornados can be expected. The Tonkawa Emergency Management is keeping a close eye on these storm systems and will continue to do so throughout the evening (and into the morning if needed).
If you should need shelter from these storms, Tonkawa Police are present at both safe rooms as the Tonkawa Public Schools have opened up the Safe Rooms.
It has been asked that citizens utilize the Elementary School Safe Room, first, and then overflow to the High School (if needed).
They will not permit Pets, into the building - NO EXCEPTIONS. Park in designated parking spaces when using the facility.
Emergency Services such as Fire, Ambulance, Police, and E911 are currently active and ready to assist.
It is preferred that if you intend to use the School Shelter(s), you make immediate preparations to head that way. Thank you!

If you are in need a shelter from the storm, Please proceed to the Tonkawa Elementary School. If the Elementary School is full, please go to the Tonkawa High School. No Pets will be allowed - NO EXCEPTIONS!
