Flood Warning until 12:03AM Friday

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Neosho River at Oswego affecting Cherokee and Labette Counties. Neosho River near Parsons affecting Neosho and Labette Counties. Neosho River at Iola affecting Allen County. Neosho River near Chanute affecting Allen and Neosho Counties. Neosho River near Erie affecting Neosho County.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neosho River at Oswego.

* WHEN...Until early Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, The roads around the water pumping plant and the river gage site floods. Expect field and cropland flooding near the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 19.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.3 feet Tuesday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CHEROKEE, KS ... LABETTE, KS

Instructions:

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
