DETAILS:
On April 28, 2024, at approximately 2:49 pm, Officers were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover in the 3300 block of North Eastern. A maroon SUV was travelling south on Eastern when the vehicle came over the railroad tracks in the 3300 block of North Eastern and lost control. The SUV rolled several times ejecting the sole occupant and driver who was not wearing his seatbelt. The driver was transported to Northwest Texas hospital where he was declared deceased. The driver is identified as Javier Maldonado-Hago, male 02/24/69, and his family has been notified. Judge Taylor was contacted and did not respond to the scene. The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation unit of the Amarillo Police Department.
