Rapp Road Closure Starting Monday, April 29 
Today, Monday, April 29th the section of Rapp Road in the Town of Guilderland, from Gipp Road to Crossgates Mall Road, will close for construction for approximately 2 weeks. The purpose for the closure is to construct the realignment of Rapp Road to connect with Crossgates Mall Road as depicted in the image below. The realignment of Rapp Road was a condition of the Planning Board’s site plan approval for the Apex @ Crossgates multi-family development currently under construction. The realignment was implemented to mitigate traffic impacts to the Rapp Road historic neighborhood located to the north in the City of Albany.
Detour signs will be installed to direct motorists to alternate routes around the construction zone. A map of detour routes is below. Please allow additional driving time during the construction period.
