Investigation into a Vehicle Burglary Leads to the Arrest of a Rancho Cucamonga Man and Woman

DATE/TIME: April 25, 2024 / 11:30 a.m.

INCIDENT: P.C. 459 - Vehicle burglary, P.C. 466 - Possession of Burglary Tools

LOCATION: 3290 Chino Hills Parkway, Chino Hills

SUSPECT(S): Danny Cano-Alba, a 29-year-old resident of Rancho Cucamonga and Maria Casas-Cordoba, a 27-year-old resident of Rancho Cucamonga

VICTIM(S): Confidential


SUMMARY: On Thursday, April 25, 2024, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the victim's vehicle was burglarized in a parking lot at 3290 Chino Hills Parkway. Chino Hills deputies responded to investigate. Deputies determined the victim was likely followed to the incident location by the suspect(s), after leaving a nearby bank. Through investigation, the suspect vehicle was identified. Detectives and deputies from the Multi-Enforcement Team continued the investigation and searched for the suspect vehicle. 

Deputies found the suspect vehicle in Eastvale and ultimately conducted a traffic stop in Rancho Cucamonga. Deputies detained the occupant, Danny Cano-Alba, who was determined to be a suspect in the vehicle burglary investigation.

Detectives authored a search warrant for Cano-Alba's Rancho Cucamonga home. Deputies contacted the suspect's wife, Maria Casas-Cordoba, during the warrant service. A search of the house led to the recovery of multiple items of stolen property, false citizenship documents, burglary tools, and indicia of identity theft. Cano-Alba and Casas-Cordoba were arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
