Single Vehicle Crash on Absecon Boulevard Results in Fatality 
On Sunday, April 28, 2024, just before 10:30 PM, a city officer on patrol discovered a vehicle off the roadway engulfed in flames at the area of U.S. Route 30 (Absecon Boulevard) and Delilah Road, near the old Bayview Motel.
Immediate life-saving measures were undertaken by responding officers, who also made efforts to extinguish the flames. The Absecon Fire Department arrived and successfully controlled the blaze.
Tragically, the single occupant and driver, Craig G. Doka, 33, of Oak Ridge, NJ was found deceased inside. The investigation has indicated that this was a single vehicle crash.
Our agency's Traffic Safety Unit is currently leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident. We urge any witnesses or individuals with pertinent information to come forward.
