Two Los Angeles Residents Arrested for Numerous Charges After Firing a Gun from a Vehicle


DATE/TIME: April 29, 2024 / 1:31 P.M.

INCIDENT: PC246- Shoot Dwelling
       PC246.3-Negligient Discharge of a Firearm
       PC26100-Shooting from a Motor Vehicle
       PC182-Conspiracy to Commit a Crime
       PC626.9- Discharge of a Firearm in a School Zone

LOCATION: Banyan St./ Milliken Ave.

SUSPECT(S): Julio Cesar Villalobos Rodriguez, Age 33, Resident of Los Angeles
                        Armando Salvador Rojas Rodriguez, Age 27, Resident of Los Angeles

VICTIM(S): Confidential


SUMMARY: On Monday, April 29, 2024, at approximately 1:31 P.M., deputies responded to the intersection of Banyan St. and Milliken Ave., in Rancho Cucamonga, reference shots fired.  The reporting party called in advising of an unknown make and model vehicle firing gun shots. The reporting party provided dispatch with a description of the vehicle involved as well as the last known direction the vehicle was traveling.

An extensive area check was conducted, and with the assistance of Sheriff’s Aviation the vehicle was located a short distance from the scene. Deputies contacted the suspects, who were later identified as Armando Salvador Rojas Rodriguez and Julio Cesar Villalobos Rodriguez, residents of Los Angeles. During a search of the vehicle, a firearm was located along with ammunition. It was determined the suspects fired several rounds into the field on the northwest corner of Milliken Ave. and Banyan St. 

Both suspects were arrested and booked in at the West Valley Detention Center for PC246- Shooting at an Inhabited Dwelling, PC246.3-Negligient Discharge of a Firearm, PC26100-Shooting from a Motor Vehicle, PC182-Conspiracy to Commit a Crime and PC626.9-Discharge of a Firearm in a School Zone.
