...The Flood Warning remains in effect for the following river in Illinois... Vermilion River near Leonore affecting La Salle County. For the Vermilion River (Illinois Basin)...including Pontiac, Leonore...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Vermilion River from IL23 near Streator downstream to confluence with the Illinois River, including the Leonore gauge.

* WHEN...Until early tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water overtops banks at multiple locations along the river near Streator and Leonore.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 AM CDT Tuesday was 17.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening or overnight. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
