Highland Park 5K/Spring Street Fair, Sunday 5/5
Join Main Street Highland Park for a day filled with fun activities for all ages, starting with the 5K Race at 9 AM followed by the Kids' Races at 10 AM (there is still time to register to run or volunteer!) and then the Street Fair from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM - rain or shine! Earth Day Fair, Sunday 5/5
Sustainable Highland Park welcomes residents and visitors to participate in Highland Park's annual Earth Day Fair on No. 3rd Ave between Raritan Ave and Denison Street from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Highlights of the Earth Day Fair will include: distribution of Free Native Plants seedlings; an EV demonstration; a rain barrel build; and a new compost option from One Compost Can and information on backyard composting and vermicomposting for apartment dwellers. There will also be vegan finger food offerings from Chef Meredith as well as performances by local musicians - see you Sunday!
Bike Rodeo, Tuesday 5/14
Grab your bike and helmet and come down to the Bartle School parking lot off Benner Street from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. for some fun activities, safety checks and lessons on the rules of the road. Organized by Safe Walking & Cycling Committee, the Highland Park Police Department, and Keep Middlesex Moving.
Porchfest, Sunday 5/19
Highland Park Porchfest is back by popular demand for its fourth year with 80+ live performers on porches throughout Highland Park. Click here to view the event details, including the schedule, which includes porch locations, performers, and timeslots.
Planting Days, Thursday 5/23 and Friday 5/24
Help fill the downtown planters with plants and flowers on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Meet at the Main Street Highland Park offices, 212 Raritan Avenue. For more information, please visit mainstreethp.org.
Memorial Day Parade, Monday 5/27
We hope you will join your neighbors for the annual Memorial Day Parade, which starts at 11:00 am in New Brunswick, crosses the bridge around 11:30 a.m. and proceeds up Raritan Avenue to the Doughboy Monument in Highland Park. Free Groceries from H.P. Gives a Hoot, Tuesdays 5/7, 5/14, 5/21 & 5/28 & Wednesdays 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22 & 5/29
Highland Park Gives a Hoot offers free groceries to Highland Park families in need of support. Distributions are every Tuesday & Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Zone 6/Teen Center, 600 Benner Street.
Food Pantry Distribution, Thursday 5/9 & 5/23 & Saturday 5/11 & 5/25

Highland Park Recreation Programs
Highland Park Recreation offers a variety of adult, youth and summer camp programs. Families that qualify for free and reduced lunch are eligible for a 60% discount on all programs offered by the Borough.

Parkstock Music Festival, Thursdays: 7/18, 7/25, 8/15 & 8/29
Outdoor concert series on Thursday nights at Donaldson Park, Grove 1, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Select food vendors will be on site.
