Will Carleton area updated road closure information

We have received numerous calls about road closure signs on Port Creek Rd. and Briarhill Rd. and whether or not they are legitimately closed. We just spoke to the Monroe County Sheriff's Department who confirmed that the closures are real. They further confirmed that they are enforcing the closures and actively issuing citations.

We are only the messenger and wanted to relay this information because we know it affects so many of our residents. We have no control over these closures and had no input into the decision.
We know it is an inconvenience and will severely impact your travel times and commute. The road options are limited with Romine and I-275 being the most likely route.

We have taken the necessary adjustments and notifications to prepare for public safety emergencies in the area.

Questions and concerns can be directed to Director Robbins at 734-753-4400.
