Severe thunderstorm warning for Southwestern Trinity County, Southwestern Houston County and Southwestern Madison County until 8:15 pm.
At 7:23 pm a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles east of Madisonville moving northeast at 30 mph.
Hazard quarter size hail (max size 1") and wind gusts up to 50 mph. Source radar indicated. Impact damage to vehicles is expected.
Locations impacted include Trinity and Lovelady.
Precautionary/preparedness action: Move to an interior room on lowest floor of a building. If on or near the north end of Lake Livingston get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightening can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught in the water in a thunderstorm.
