Flood Advisory until 10:30PM Wednesday

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following county, Crockett.

* WHEN...Until 1030 PM CDT. A band of showers and thunderstorms extended from the intersection of highway 190 and highway 163 to Ozona to 20 miles south of Ozona, moving east at 45 mph.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 829 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has quickly fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ozona, The Intersection Of Highway 163 And Ranch Road 1973, The Intersection Of I-10 And Highway 405 and The Intersection Of Ranch Road 2083 And Highway 405. - This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 348 and 379. This includes the following Low Water Crossings... crossings along SH 163 and crossings along County Road 401. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
