Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in locating the pictured suspect vehicle in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Friday, April 26, 2024.
At approximately 11:40 p.m. a man in the 200 block of Aldine Street, near Vassar Avenue, was approached by two Black males, each armed with handguns. The suspects demanded the victim’s money at gunpoint. After going through his pockets, both suspects fled the scene. The victim was on the ground when he regained consciousness. He entered his vehicle to find that his cell phone, a lunch box containing medication, and a phone charger were stolen. The victim was admitted to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The driver of the suspect vehicle is described as wearing a red jacket, and both suspects are believed to be in their twenties. The suspect vehicle is a 2005-2008, white, 4-door Infiniti with no front license plate and all its windows tinted.
