Beginning tomorrow, Friday (5/3), Grant Ave will be closed for First Fridays from 4PM - 12AM. The closure will affect Grant Ave between Machin Ave and Reichert Ave (see map).
 
The first two First Friday events will be held in May and June, and the roadway will be closed to all vehicular traffic. Gates will close on Grant Ave at 5PM. Permanent signage has been installed in the area to notify the community of closure information. 
 
Join businesses downtown for First Fridays, a closed streets program designed to create a safe, pedestrian and bicycle-friendly shopping, dining, and recreation environment on Grant Avenue, between Machin and Reichert Avenues.
 
First Fridays Closure Dates:

• Friday, May 3, 2024 @ 4PM
• Friday, June 7, 2024 @ 4PM

Parking in and around the Downtown area is available on adjacent streets and public parking lots. The Novato Police Department will be working this event to reasonably accommodate any traffic related issues. Please use alternative routes when necessary. We request those who cannot avoid the area to allow plenty of time for travel.
