Advisory
In order to expedite the construction on Elm Street, and in an effort to minimize the period of traffic disruption, the Town’s contractor will be performing work on some weekends over the coming weeks. Please be advised that there may be traffic delays in the area and large trucks and heavy commercial vehicles will be detoured.
We want to remind residents that businesses in this area remain open and encourage you to utilize the municipal parking lots on Central Street or Southworth Street (Coburn Elementary School) for parking to access these businesses. For additional updates on this project and others, please visit www.townofwestspringfield.org/constructioncalendar.
Unidirectional Flushing Program:
Please be advised the Department of Public Works will be conducting a water main flushing program throughout the next couple of weeks.
No interruption of water service is expected during the flushing program. Some consumers may experience temporary discoloration and low water pressure to their home or place of business. If you notice discolored water, run COLD water in your bathtub until it runs clear. If residents experience any change in water quality after the flushing is complete or have questions about the program, they should contact Deputy Director of Water Michael O'Connell at (413) 263-3230.
