* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 2 feet, with isolated amounts approaching 3 feet over the highest peaks. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...Little Belt and Highwood Mountains.

* WHEN...From noon Tuesday to midnight MDT Wednesday Night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Those in the backcountry should ensure they have appropriate knowledge and gear and may want to consider alternate plans. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The combination of heavy, wet snow and strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.

* AFFECTED AREAS: LITTLE BELT AND HIGHWOOD MOUNTAINS
