Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
Beginning in April, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 2800 block of Washington Street. On May 2, at approximately 12:37 p.m., police were in the 2800 block of Washington Street, when they attempted to make contact with 48-year-old Jerome Bell, who fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, Bell was taken into custody without incident, and found to be in possession of 11.83 grams of crack cocaine, 1 Amphetamine pill, and drug paraphernalia.
Bell has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $8,200 unsecured bail.
