Narrative:

On May 2nd, Detectives with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Huntington Park resident suspected of committing commercial burglaries in the County of Ventura.

On December 29th, 2023, at approximately 3:00am, several suspects forced entry into a pharmacy in the City of Simi Valley.  Over the next hour, these same suspects forced entry into two additional pharmacies in the City of Thousand Oaks.  However, the suspects were unable to access pharmaceutical products at the three locations due to strong security measures that had been enacted by the business owners.

A thorough investigation by detectives identified one of the suspects as Daniel Godinez.  On April 16th, 2024, detectives located and arrested Godinez at his residence in the City of Lynwood.  Godinez was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on the charge of Penal Code 459 / Burglary.

As the investigation continued, detectives identified a second suspect as Emmanuel Ojeda of Huntington Park.  On May 2nd, 2024, Detectives located Ojeda in the City of Huntington Park and arrested him without incident. Ojeda was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on the charge of Penal Code 459 / Burglary.  Godinez’ bail was set at $50,000 and he has a pending court date later this month.
