Beginning tomorrow (5/7), Sherman Ave (between Grant/De Long) will be closed on Tuesday evenings from 2PM – 10PM for the Downtown Novato Farmers’ Market at their NEW Sherman Ave location in Novato. The market will be held on Tuesdays, from May (5/7) through the end of October (10/29) from 4PM – 8PM.

Parking locations have been outlined on the attached map.

RIBBON CUTTING: The City invites our community to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on May 7 at 4pm on Sherman Ave.

TRAVEL: You can walk, bike, drive, or take public transit — the choice is yours! The new location on Sherman Avenue is just a train or bus ride away as it is conveniently located between the Novato Downtown SMART Station and the Redwood Boulevard & Grant Avenue Transit Station. Additionally, bike racks are available near the market on Sherman Avenue at Cain Lane and in the City Administrative Offices Parking Lot.

Parking is available in and around the Downtown area on adjacent streets and public parking lots.

PUBLIC PARKING LOTS:

• Depot Lot at the Novato Downtown SMART Station
• Whole Foods Garage; Floor 2
• City Administrative Offices Lot at 922 Machin Avenue
• City Administrative Offices Underground Lot at Cain Lane; after 5pm only

TRAFFIC: We remind our community members of the potential impacts on traffic during commute times in the immediate area. Expect traffic delays and use alternative routes when necessary. An increase of pedestrians is expected during the closure times. REMEMBER to drive safe, slow, and keep an eye out, as families and small children may be crossing roadways for the event. Do not park in driveways, restricted parking areas, or in red zones. The community’s patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
