Traffic stop leads to arrest of Petersburg woman on DUI charge. 
On May 6, 2024, at 11:48 p.m. Deputy Wyatt Hunt conducted a traffic stop on a Blue 2015 Toyota Camry after observing the vehicle run a red light at the corner of Hart and Broadway Streets. Upon stopping the vehicle at the intersection of Main and Water Street Deputy Hunt approached the vehicle and immediately detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver 35 year old Allyssa Rolley of Petersburg. At that point Deputy Hunt began a roadside DUI investigation that resulted in Ms. Rolley being placed into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail where she was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.
Assisting Deputy Hunt in his investigation was Sgt. John Fischer.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
