Update: The roadway has been reopened.
An accident has just occurred on Robert Smalls Parkway at Publix in Beaufort. Both eastbound lanes of Highway 170 are currently blocked by vehicles involved and emergency vehicles. Motorists are advised to please use caution and to expect delays when traveling through this area.
