The Grosse Pointe Farms Reserve Unit / Emergency Support Unit will conduct traffic control training this evening. Tonight, 05/08/24, from 7 pm to 8 pm, Moross Road between Kercheval Avenue and Ridge Road will be closed to vehicular traffic, simulating a crash investigation.
Drivers will be directed to take alternative routes if traveling through the area. Residents of Moross Road residing between Kercheval Ave. and Ridge Road will still be allowed to pass through the closed-down area to access their residences.
This training is essential for our reserve unit, which assists the Public Safety Department during large-scale police & fire incidents. Thank you for being so cooperative.
On a separate note, the GPFDPS still holds this stray dog at the station (see photo). If you recognize this adult male lab/pit mix wearing a flea collar, be sure to contact Public Safety at (313)-885-2100 as soon as possible.
