* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Cherokee County in southeastern Kansas... Southern Jasper County in southwestern Missouri... Western Lawrence County in southwestern Missouri... Newton County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 1000 PM CDT Wednesday.

* At 359 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Joplin, Carthage, Neosho, Monett, Mount Vernon, Baxter Springs, Webb City, Galena, Seneca, Granby, Carterville, Duquesne, Sarcoxie, Pierce City, Duenweg, Diamond, Miller, Leawood, Silver Creek, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Treece, Loma Linda, Airport Drive, Lowell, Fidelity, Stotts City, Newtonia, Freistatt, Redings Mill, Wentworth, Stark City, Avilla, La Russell, Grand Falls Plaza, Brooklyn Heights, Shoal Creek Estates, Reeds, Ritchey and Dennis Acres.
