1. Resisting Arrest (1330) 2700 Block of East Fremont Street, Park District
Officers responded to the area for a reported vandalism. They contacted the suspect for trespassing, who was unrelated to the vandalism. Officers attempted to detain the suspect, but he resisted, and a taser was utilized to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Albert Negrete, 40, for trespassing and resisting arrest.
2. Robbery (1337) Grand Canal Boulevard and Venezia Boulevard, Lakeview District
The female victim, 22, was walking in the area when the suspects approached the victim. The suspects assaulted the victim and stole her property. The suspects fled the area in a vehicle. Officers located the suspect's vehicle and detained the suspects. The victim was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries. ARRESTED: Deametrius Jones, 20, and Angelina Aguirre, 21, for robbery.
