* Tornado Warning for... Southern McDowell County in western North Carolina... Northwestern Rutherford County in western North Carolina... East central Buncombe County in western North Carolina...

* Until 100 AM EDT.

* At 1214 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 11 miles northeast of Downtown Asheville, or near Black Mountain, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near... Black Mountain around 1220 AM EDT. Old Fort around 1230 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by this dangerous thunderstorm include Glenwood, Shingle Hollow, Sugar Hill, Thermal City, and Fero.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BUNCOMBE, NC ... MCDOWELL, NC ... RUTHERFORD, NC
