At 540 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Plano to near Morris to 7 miles south of Seneca. Movement was east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. The winds will precede the storms by several minutes. SOURCE...Radar indicated and weather stations. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Joliet, Romeoville, Plainfield, Lockport, Yorkville, Morris, Channahon, Minooka, Braidwood, Wilmington, Coal City, Crest Hill, Shorewood, Diamond, Elwood, Lakewood Shores, Mazon, Braceville, Preston Heights, Fairmont, Rockdale, Crystal Lawns, Godley, Carbon Hill, and Lisbon.
