Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help identifying the woman pictured below who is wanted for questioning about a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., the victim was walking on Elizabeth Avenue between Lehigh Avenue and Stengel Street when he heard gunshots. The victim, realizing he had been shot in the leg, called for an Uber which took him to Beth Israel Medical Center.
Described as a Black female, the individual pictured below was captured on surveillance video with the victim before he went to the hospital. She was wearing dark-colored pants, a yellow shirt, and a dark-colored jacket. They both entered the Uber that took the victim to the hospital. The woman escorted the victim to the emergency room and left.
