Man Named in Restraining Order Arrested for Assaulting Victim in Needles

INCIDENT: P.C. 243(E)(1) - Domestic Battery and PC 273.6(A) - Violation of a Domestic Restraining Order
LOCATION: 2200 Block of Needles Hwy, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): James Stout, 38-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at approximately 6:49 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a call for service near the 2200 block of Needles Hwy, reference a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered the victim had been assaulted by the suspect, James Stout. During further investigation, it was found that Stout had an active restraining order against him naming the victim as the protected person.
Stout was arrested for P.C. 243(E)(1)- Domestic Battery and PC 273.6(A) - Violation of a Domestic Violence Restraining Order. Stout was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $25,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
