The Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement Unit, Moorpark Special Enforcement Unit, and the Thousand Oaks Career Criminals Detective Unit, conducted a joint operation into a suspect who was in possession of false government documents. On May 8th, 2024, investigators learned that Hector Aldair Nunez-Cruz presented a false government identification to law enforcement officers during a routine traffic enforcement stop, a few days prior. Detectives followed up on the contact and learned that Cruz was actually a wanted felon and had an outstanding arrest warrant in Los Angeles County for robbery and residential burglary and an arrest warrant in Orange County for residential burglary and forgery. Detectives conducted an operation and located Cruz in the city of Simi Valley, where he was arrested. During the arrest, Cruz again presented investigators with the aforementioned false government identification. Cruz was booked at the East Valley Jail for possession of false government documents and felony warrants, with a pending court date. |
