Three people arrested after breaking into convenience store at 34/Coulter early this morning.

DETAILS: On Monday, May 13, 2024, at 4:33am, Officers were sent to the Brake Time Convenience store at SW 34th/Coulter on a burglary in progress. While enroute, Officers were told there was video of a subject inside the store attempting to break into an ATM. When Officers arrived, they saw a male walking away from the back of the store. Officers were able to stop him, and he was taken into custody. A white Ford truck was seen leaving the scene and followed by officers in a short pursuit. The truck stopped at Elmhurst and Coulter, striking a tree, and both occupants were taken into custody. They were checked out and medically cleared by AMR at the scene. There were burglary tools inside the vehicle. More burglary tools were located inside the store and collected as evidence. All three suspects were booked into the Randall County jail. They are identified as Dusty Wells, male, 02/20/1987, and he was charged with Burglary of a building and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity; Emily Davis, female, 08/10/1986, and she was charged with burglary of a building, Evading Arrest/Detention using vehicle with previous conviction and engaging in organized criminal activity; Brecken Scott, male, 04/07/1996 and he was charged with burglary of a building, possession/unlawful use of criminal instrument, evading arrest/detention using vehicle with previous conviction, and engaging in organized criminal activity. This case is being investigated by the Property crimes unit of the Amarillo Police Department.
