Newark Office of Emergency Management Offers Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Class 
The Newark Department of Public Safety’s Office of Emergency Management invites Newark residents to register for its upcoming Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) class, to be held at 9 a.m. each Saturday at the William Mobile Ashby Community Care and Training Center, 695 Bergen Street.
The class is designed to train residents in how to prepare for hazards. The training is open to Newark residents only, ages 18 and older, and will be held each Saturday for 4-5 weeks. The program is physically intensive and applicants must pass a background check.
