Wilmington Police request public assistance regarding death investigation: 
Wilmington Police are requesting the assistance of the public regarding a death investigation.
On February 16, police were dispatched to the 600 block of Delaware Avenue in reference to the discovery of skeletal remains. The remains were turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Sciences, which confirmed the subject’s identity as 44-year-old Charles Robert Steele.
The case has been assigned to Detective John O’Connor of the WPD Criminal Investigations Division, and the investigation remains ongoing in conjunction with the Division of Forensic Sciences.
There were no immediate signs of foul play, and the cause of death remains undetermined.
